Badge Style
Configure the default appearance for badges across Novigem.
Access these settings via Novigem Admin → Badge Style in the Settings section.
Badge Shape
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Default Shape | Hexagon | The shape used for badge artwork throughout Novigem. Choose Circle, Hexagon, or Shield. |
The Preview panel next to the picker shows how badges will look with the selected shape, displaying a “Sample Badge” with the text “Achievement unlocked!”
Shape is a single org-wide setting, not a per-badge one. Changing it restyles every badge at once. What varies per badge is the colour, set in the Badge Builder: gold, silver, bronze, ruby, or emerald.
Custom Badge Images
Not yet available. Custom badge images are a planned Pro feature. The card appears on the Badge Style screen with the toggle locked, so you can see what is coming, but uploads are not possible yet. Watch the changelog for the release.

Custom Branding
Once shipped, custom badge images will let you align achievements with your company brand or create unique designs for special events.
Planned formats:
- PNG
- SVG
Recommended size: 256x256 pixels
Best Practices
- Choose a default shape that matches your brand aesthetic
- Reserve the higher-value colours (gold, ruby) for badges that are genuinely hard to earn, so the tiering reads at a glance
- Keep badge names short: they sit under the artwork at small sizes
Next steps
- Badges Field Reference: Configure individual badges and icon colours.
- Core Concepts: Badges: Understand the role of recognition and milestones.
- General Settings: Configure point behaviors, tracked objects, and coaching messages.
