Setup Checklist
Complete these steps before launching your first challenge:
1. Open Novigem Admin
Navigate to Novigem Admin in your app’s navigation bar. Confirm you see the admin sidebar with Overview, Settings, and Help sections.
Don’t see the admin area? Check that your user has the Novigem Admin permission set. See Installation for details.
2. Review General Settings
Go to Settings → General and review:
- Allow Negative Point Balances: Keep disabled for most teams
- Require Reason for Manual Adjustments: Enable for accountability

3. Create 3-5 Starter Rules
Navigate to Rules and create a few simple rules:

Set Is Active to false while testing. See Rules Reference for all field options.
4. Add 1-2 Badges (Optional)
Navigate to Badges and create simple achievement badges:

5. Verify the Ledger
Before going live:
- Trigger a few test actions (e.g. close a dummy opportunity or complete a task)
- Check Ledger Entries to confirm entries appear with correct user, rule, and points
- Fix any rule issues before rolling out

With settings reviewed, a few rules created, and the ledger verified, you’re ready to create your first challenge.
